Rev. Lockett is originally from Macon, GA. He is the son of Ralph and Frances Lockett and has one brother, Prentice Lockett of Atlanta, GA. Rev. Lockett served as a Cavalry Scout in the United States Army. Rev. Lockett married Dorothy (Glover) Lockett . They have 8 children and 3 grandchildren. Rev. Lockett joined Lizzie Chapel Baptist Church in Macon, GA in 1993. He was ordained as a deacon in 1997 and licensed as a minister in November, 1999. He was ordained in August, 2007. Rev. Lockett has attended Georgia Baptist College, E. K. Bailey International Conference on Expository Preaching, Macon Extension Center of American Baptist College, Tony Evans Church Development Conference and SHILOH Theological Institute. Presently, he is attending American Association of Christian Counselors. He was employed at Lizzie Chapel Baptist Church as the Pastor’s Assistant.
Rev. Lockett extended his ministry through various affiliations in Macon. He served as Second Vice President of Baptist Ministers Union of Macon and Vicinity; Chair, Community/Civic Affairs, Evangelical Minister Alliance; A Board Member on Crisis Line and Safe House; Family and Family Counseling Center of Central GA; Member of Middle Georgia Suicide Prevention Coalition, Search Your Heart Foundation, and North Central Health Education Task Force; Member of Middle GA Suicide Prevention Coalition, Representative of Macon Coalition to End Homelessness Co-Founder, Starting Over; Field Liaison for American Foundation For Suicide Prevention and Trainee, Emergency Management Agency.
